Sin: විල්පත්තු vilpattu

‘Lake District’  NWP, NCP, Sri Lanka.

From Sin: vil, ‘lake’, ‘pond’; and pattuwa, ‘a division of a korale, or district’.

Sri Lanka’s largest national park (1,316.671 sq. km2) features over a hundred natural rain-filled water basins.
