‘Cold Plain’ CP, Sri Lanka
From Sin: sita, ‘cold’; eliya, ‘open space, plain’.
The Sita Amman Temple tells the story that the demon Ravana kept the abducted Princess Sita here.
Devotees believe she prayed by the temple brook for Rama to rescue her and that depression around the site are actually the footprints of Hanuman.
On the other hand, it does get a bit chilly up here.
