The Sri Rama Gundalu temple in the old city is the site of numerous springs.  Legend connects the area with Rama and Sita and it is said that their footsteps created the springs.

The 2,600MW Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Station run by the NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation) is the largest power station in South India.
