There are British-era trout-fishing huts here, near the start of the Sri Pada/Adam’s Peak Trail. They were built by the tea planters at the nearby Moray Estate,
Tragically, Maskeliya is better known as the site of Sri Lanka’s worst ever air crash where all 191 passengers and crew lost their lives.
